The report tracks progress on a range of indicators related to food security, nutrition, sustainable agriculture and fisheries, and land and water management. It also highlights areas where progress has been made and areas where more action is needed. The report suggests that there is still a long way to go in achieving the SDGs related to food and agriculture, and that more needs to be done to ensure that the most vulnerable groups are reached. In terms of food finance and investment, the report emphasizes the importance of investing in sustainable food systems to achieve the SDGs. It also highlights the need for collaboration between different sectors, including the private sector, to create sustainable and inclusive food systems that support the SDGs.

Target 2.a “Increase investment, including through enhanced international cooperation, in rural infrastructure, agricultural research and extension services, technology development and plant and livestock gene banks in order to enhance agricultural productive capacity in developing countries, in particular least developed countries.”
