Investing in nature-based solutions (NbS) will help address the “triple challenge” that humankind is facing: climate change, biodiversity loss, and human wellbeing and development. Acknowledging there is no ‘one-sized-fits-all’ approach, the WWF and South Pole’s new report details how common success factors can reduce frequently occurring project risks, increase revenue and/ or decrease costs across each phase of Nature-Based Solution (NbS) project development and implementation.

Among critical success factors for NBS projects are the co-development of the projects with investors and the availability of funding for feasibility studies and other early-stage project development activities. Illustrated with five in-depth case studies, the report is a helpful resource to improve project bankability for fund managers, investors and project developers alike.
